Manchester United shockingly lost to last place West Bromwich Albion today, 1-0, thanks to a score from Jay Rodriguez. The men of Jose Mourinho fell, at home no less, to the side in absolute dead last place; just eight days after beating top of the table Manchester City at their place.
What a difference a week makes.
Manchester United about to lose to dead last place West Brom; 8 days after beating first place Manchester City at the Etihad. That’s pulling a full on Liverpool. That’s Liverpooling more than Liverpool have ever Liverpooled this season.

United’s loss to West Brom hands City the title, and after the match Mourinho gave his reaction to this development; one that has been a very long time.
“I have won titles, I would not be happy if someone say won title if someone lose a match,” Mourinho said. “City won the title because they won more points than everyone else, don’t tell City they won title because United did not win, it is not fair on them.”
“City were the best team, sooner or later they would get the points, so no dramas when the best team wins the league,”
What went wrong for United? How did this shocking upset happen? Apparently Mourinho believes his team just tried to be too cute on Sunday afternoon.
“We were masters in complication, everything was complicated,” Mourinho added.
“We didn’t want or played simple, everything was slow, one more flick, trick, turn. There was no fluidity.
“We did not deserve to lose, we gave them opportunity to win the match.”
