kitten bowl

You’ve already seen a zillion Super Bowl LII preview stories, and you’ll see a zillion more between now and Sunday. How many Kitten Bowl preview articles have you come across though? Well, I hope there will eventually will be a lot of them because Kitten Bowl is about a cause that is as noble as it gets- adopting shelter pets.

Kitten Bowl V is part of Hallmark Channel’s Adoption Ever After pet initiative, spotlighting the plight of homeless animals and the joy that the adopted pets bring into the forever homes.

North Shore Animal League America and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation rescued the 2018 FFL (Feline Football League) team, many of which were displaced by all the horrible natural disasters which struck the United States in the past year.

Through its first four years, Kitten Bowl has inspired the adoption of more than 10,000 animals.

Cincinnati Bengals (of course, a big cat mascot team) legend Boomer Esiason will do play-by-play for Kitten Bowl V. Hallmark Channel’s Dean Cain, Alison Sweeney and former NFL star Rodney Peete will provide color commentary throughout the broadcast.

Peete spent the beginning and bulk of his career with the Detroit Lions, and concluded it with the Carolina Panthers; thus staying on the feline brand here.

Kitten Bowl V will be hosted by Beth Stern, model and wife of Howard Stern.

It premieres Sunday, February 4, 2018 (12 p.m. ET/PT)

The Sports Bank/The Bank has done its part too, adopting Weston here below from the Chicago Anti-Cruelty Society this in May of 2016. We renamed him Otis, and if you want to see his kitten pictures, go to this link/our Kitten Bowl IV preview.

Here you can see him cuddling up asleep next to his caretaker and best friend in the whole world. Otis/Weston plays really hard, but he sleeps really hard too.

As you can see, he’s a ginger tabby just like the young felines in the Kitten Bowl promo pics.
