Liverpool and Egypt winger Mo Salah has consistently been the subject of headlines this World Cup, but for many different reasons. At the start of the tournament, we were all focused on his fitness and potential availability. Later, as Egypt was crashing out, the superstar scoring sensation was a top story line due to rumors of his international retirement.
Today, Salah is headline news due to the extremely classy manner in which he handled his home address getting leaked.
According to reports, firetrucks and private security were deployed to guard @MoSalah’s home from the hundreds of fans who surrounded it. Rather than stay inside, he emerged to sign autographs and take pictures. A class act despite invasion of privacy. pic.twitter.com/1vWY6Vk28i

Salah’s home address leaked somehow on Facebook (wow, invasion of privacy on Facebook? SHOCKING!) and what happened next is exactly what you would have expected. Fans flooded onto his property, and despite the very stalkerish situation and atmosphere, Mo Salah handled all the craziness with grace and aplomb.
Yes, he just got back from the World Cup in Russia and is probably looking for some rest and relaxation, but he came outside anyway and greeted the adoring throngs. Numerous fans came to his house looking for autographs and photo-opps, and he did his best to fulfill as many requests as possible.
Salah once again showed why he is truly a world class guy. He’s top on the pitch as a player, and off the pitch as a human.
