Mohamed Salah Worth Over 100m Euro, Ninth Globally, Study Says

A new study, commissioned by the CIES Football Observatory, estimates the transfer market values of team rosters and ranks them. Egyptian winger Momahed Salah received the highest valuation of any Liverpool football club player, at 101 million Euro. That’s good for ninth most valuable player in the world status.

The most expensive player in Liverpool FC history at the time of his signing this past summer, Salah came over from AS Roma for just under 40 million Euro; or much less than half his valuation here. Quite a bargain!

Here’s more on the study via a Tweet below from King Fut, an Egyptian soccer/football website (and really one of our all time favorite names for a site ever; love the logo too!)

As you can above, Mohamed Salah is valued higher Cristiano Ronaldo. Yes CR7 himself; really. Of course that’s a product of youth being factored into the equation, as younger players naturally end up with higher valuations for obvious reasons. Salah is age 25 while Ronaldo is 32. Liverpool as a club came in seventh; and thus the Premier League comprised five of the seven most valuable in the world.

The tweet below lists the top ten clubs in the world, with each team’s most valuable player listed just below. You can read all of the CIES findings over at this link.
