It continues to be a very interesting summer at Tottenham Hotspur, with a whole lot going on. While we still have a bit of time until the preseason exhibition games begin, but there is certainly no shortage of news topics to discuss today.

So let’s take a spin through the latest news and notes items making the rounds on the internet on this Bastille Day.

-France will take on Croatia tomorrow in the World Cup Final, and Tottenham #1 Hugo Lloris will be in goal for Les Bleus. Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino discussed Lloris and the Spurs players who participated in the World Cup this summer:

France is one of eight sides to have won at least one World Cup tournament. Their only win came in 1998.

Today’s World Cup third place game, in which Belgium bested England 2-0, saw Spurs place a combined six players into the two starting XIs: Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier and Harry Kane for England, Jan Vertonghen and Toby Alderweireld for Belgium.

We got to see the rare defender save in this match as Alderweireld denied Dier, who had a golden opportunity on a give and go with Danny Welbeck. Have a look see:
